This is the first of many blog posts that we are going to bust out! The past two months we've been hosts to many wonderful guests and now we have some free time to catch up with Delhi Dallying!
We start with our trip to Ranthambore National Park that we took with Karen's Dad in the beginning of February! You might remember this post about our train journey there. Here are some pictures and commentary of what we saw!!

Our morning guide - he looked the part but was only somewhat interested in finding a tiger. What do you think we came for - spotted deer?
We are officially on safari - just wish I had the official hat like my dad!
What remains of the old fort walls surrounding Ranthambore
Banyan tree roots - the roots spread across the road and we drove right through the middle!
We had to include this picture of the spotted deer (even though we see plenty of these fellas in NC)
Family portrait
I thought owls were nocturnal?!?
Can anyone identify this bird?? Guess I could look in my "Birds of India" book.
On the hunt... our afternoon guide was much more intent on finding a tiger.
Look at the size of that paw print!! We are so close...
A sleeping beauty.
The madness at sunset when all the jeeps were exiting and a large male tiger was spotted where all the jeep trails merge.
Our experienced trail guide
Male tiger wondering - what's all the fuss about people?
And the male tiger beginning to charge and what a roar!! The guides warned us to be quiet...
Lovely Indian women on the trail
We gave some of these guys a high five from our jeep!
